Warehouse Team Leader

Job Introduction

Role Purpose

As a Warehouse Team Leader, you will lead and manage a team of warehouse colleagues, who will in-turn, provide great service to stores and customers alike.

You will need to ensure your team works to high standards and meets the required productivity and accuracy standards required by the business and that they do so in a safe manner.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • To lead a team of colleagues and ensure they are highly effective
  • Produce data and reports to support your area of accountability
  • Support a culture of good performance
  • Deal with poor performance by the team and /or individuals
  • Acknowledge and reward good performance
  • To be fair and consistent
  • Ensure colleagues are punctual
  • Complete Return to Works (RTW’s) and performance reviews as required
  • To ensure that your area of responsibility has adequate cover and holidays / time-off comply with business guidelines
  • To work accurately
  • Ensure your team comply to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and address issues of non-compliance
  • To have flexibility to cover other roles in the warehouse in order to meet operational needs
  • Operate IT systems - as required
  • Report any issues of a Health and Safety nature
  • Adhere to health and safety policies
  • Able to work under pressure
