To deliver a customer experience that is above and beyond the customer expectations.  To be able to do this you’ll need to be curious to find out more about each customer, identify their specific needs and help them say yes to making a purchase, being happy to come back and do it again, and recommend us to friends and family.

  • Pro-actively approaching the customer and use your curiosity to find out more about them and why they are here
  • Following the customer journey but being your authentic self
  • Keeping the store environment a place that is appropriate for your customers’ and your work colleagues too
  • Explaining the complex (and legal) stuff to your customer in a way that is easy to understand and keeps us on the straight and narrow at all times
  • Ensuring you’ve covered everything that the customer might need to complete their project (offering our products and services that might be useful to them)
  • Checking the details to make sure things are accurate and as expected by your customer
  • Making sure the journey for your customer is smooth and worry-free
  • Owning your personal performance and being driven to achieve goals, making any adjustments along the way
  • Owning your personal development and learning from feedback
  • Knowing your onions!  You need to know where and how to find stuff out
  • Doing what you’ve been trained to do, this means following processes, procedures and guidelines
  • Acting as an ambassador and a positive role model for Carpetright

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Deliver excellent customer service which is a non-negotiable for you and will not be compromised
  • A full UK driving license, access to a roadworthy car and confident enough to drive distances and travel up to an hour
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Flexible in approach to working hours across the week, including weekends
  • Comfortable with lone working on occasions
  • Adaptable with working in different store environments
  • Ability to build rapport quickly
