In-Home Consultant

Please Note: The application deadline for this job has now passed.

Job Introduction

What is important to you in your next role?  Flexibility?  Variety?  Fun?  Competitive rewards?

You can have all of this and more at Carpetright.

We continue to exceed expectations and grow our business as we strive to remain the leading floor coverings and bed provider in the UK.

Key to our success is our people who are, and always will be the heartbeat of our great company.

We’re looking for an exceptional In-Home Consultant to join the Carpetright family and become part of something special, as we drive forward and look to the future.

How you’ll play your part

Your role will be to visit our customers in their homes, measure up and recommend flooring that suits the customers’ lifestyle (from both a practical and a style perspective), as they look to transform their home.

You’ll be using digital technology and samples to help them select the product that is right for them, guiding the customer through their buying journey, and where required sharing your opinion to help them make their decisions.

If you like helping customers to buy, variety, autonomy and meeting new people every day, this is the role for you!

What you’ll need

We can teach you about our amazing products and services (and how to measure!) and provide you with market leading training, a liveried van and the equipment and tech you’ll need, to help you bring our store to the customer’s home.  What we’ll need from you is a professional and friendly approach, a good dose of enthusiasm and the ability to connect with our customers from first getting to know about them and their project, through to closing the sale and completing the order.

You’ll need to be a confident communicator and obsessed about delivering an exceptional customer experience.  You’ll need to be meticulous about detail and have an interest in home interiors/home décor.

It’s likely that you’ll have worked in a role that involves working outside of the usual workplace (in a customers’ home) and are comfortable working in a sales and target focused environment.

Other key requirements:

  • A full UK driving licence
  • Willingness to be mobile and happy to travel to customers’ homes
  • Comfortable with autonomy
  • A flexible approach to working hours across the week, including weekends and evenings
  • The ability to adapt to working in different environments
  • Self-motivated with the ability to use your own initiative

What’s in it for me?

Working for Carpetright is like being part of one big family.  With market leading training and an attractive salary and commission structure in place, this is a great opportunity to drive your career forward with a fantastic brand.

Next steps

Once you hit apply, you’ll be taken through a series of questions relating to your experience and suitability for the role – this should only take you about 10 minutes.  Assuming you meet our initial requirements, you’ll be invited to upload a CV.  From this point, our team will review your application in full and will be in touch.
