Nestware Holdings, a leading investor in the UK and Europe's premier flooring brands such as Carpetright, Trade Choice, Flooring Supplies, Flooring Megastore, the Floor Room, and UK Flooring Direct, is seeking a **Group Tax Manager** to spearhead our tax strategy across all brands. This pivotal role, based within our dynamic Group Finance Team, offers a blend of remote and office-based work, providing flexibility and integration into our supportive corporate family.

Group Tax Manager – Hybrid/Remote - Permanent 


We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our Group Finance Team. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this individual will play a critical role in tax reporting, compliance, planning, and assurance. The Tax Manager will be responsible for ensuring excellence in Group-wide tax reporting and planning, with 90% of the role being focused on tax and 10% on accounting.

Key responsibilities include:

- Preparation of group corporate tax computations and returns
- Responding to queries from the business and HMRC
- Overseeing VAT processes and ensuring timely and accurate returns
- Monitoring transactional VAT compliance and implementing change where required
- Overseeing SAO reporting and implementing identified improvements
- Assisting with research and implementation of tax planning projects
- Preparation of tax entries for full-year Group consolidated accounts and UK statutory accounts
- Assisting with the review of procedures and controls across all relevant UK taxes
- Assisting with the implementation and maintenance of the Group's transfer pricing policies
- Providing support to the business to advise on tax issues affecting new contracts and trading opportunities and suggesting potential solutions or alternatives


The successful candidate will have:

- A minimum of 2 years' practical UK tax experience gained in either practice or industry – ideally retail sector but not essential.
- A good understanding of financial accounting and ideally have had exposure to multi-national consolidations
- A strong understanding of UK tax legislation, IAS 12, deferred tax, and a good understanding of IFRS, FRS 101, and old UK GAAP.
- Qualified ACA/ACCA or CIOT
- Strong communication skills and the ability to deal with internal and external stakeholders in a credible and articulate manner.
- A team player who values structure and process with a practical mindset.
- A hands-on approach with high visibility within the business.
