Accounts Payable Team Leader – Permanent – Essex

We are currently on the lookout for an AP Team Leader to join our Finance team at Carpetright. You will supervise the day to day process of the Accounts Payable functions including management of all accounts payable staff.

What you will be doing:

  • Be first point of contact for queries relating to Financial Operations team
  • Preparation of period end journals (Rebates and FX)
  • Ensure all payments are made in a timely and accurate manner
  • Supervise the duties of the Financial Operations Administrators
  • Liaise with internal & external auditors with regards to Financial Operations queries
  • Investigation and resolution of any invoicing/payment queries
  • Support in processing Expense/Fitters Invoices, and Supplier Statement Reconciliations
  • Raise urgent payments as required (BACS and Cheques)

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience in an Accountants Payable role
  • High volume data experience
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise accordingly
